A day after the Lok Sabha election results, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra expressed heartfelt admiration for her brother, Rahul Gandhi. Despite facing overwhelming odds and a barrage of propaganda, Rahul’s unwavering commitment to truth and perseverance were praised by Priyanka.
“You stood firm, no matter what they threw at you. You never backed down, never lost faith, and kept fighting for the truth despite all the lies spread against you. Even in the face of daily hostility, you didn’t let anger and hatred take over,” Priyanka shared in an emotional post on X (formerly Twitter).

Rahul’s Electoral Success
Rahul Gandhi, who led the Congress campaign nationwide, emerged victorious in both constituencies he contested. He retained his seat in Wayanad, Kerala, defeating BJP’s state president K Surendran by approximately 3.64 lakh votes. In Raebareli, a seat previously held by his mother and former Congress president Sonia Gandhi from 2004 to 2024, Rahul won by a margin of around 3.9 lakh votes against BJP’s Dinesh Pratap Singh.

As Rahul will have to vacate one of the two seats, speculation is rife about whether Priyanka will step in to contest the bypoll. Rahul mentioned on Tuesday that he hasn’t yet decided which seat he will retain, leaving everyone eager to see the next move.
